The Conference theme for 2013 is ‘Knowledge makers and notice takers: teacher education research impacting policy and practice’ andthe program will explore the following broad topic areas:

  • Knowledge Making: new understandings for effective teacher education
  • Notice Takers: messages from research to inform educational policy
  • Impacting Practice: innovations in teacher education

The 2013 ATEA conference aims to be an outward looking conference, keen to engage the wider education community in teacher education policy debates, critically discussing partnerships and teacher education pathways and sharing different perspectives on the complex challenge of preparing teachers for a democratic society.
