What We Do

The Australian Teacher Education Association (ATEA) is the professional body behind teacher educators in Australia. First formed in 1988, the association exists to promote:

  • Research as a core endeavour of educators
  • The continuing education of teachers and teacher educators
  • Advocacy and support for teacher educators at both local and global scales
