2020 ATEA Conference

“Teacher Education: Global Trends and Local Responses”

The TEFANZ/ATEA conference planned for July 8–10 in Auckland, NZ was cancelled. This decision was made in response to the worldwide and evolving international responses to the COVID-19 virus.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands, skies, and waterways. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia and the work that Aboriginal community continues to do in supporting initial teacher education across the Country. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. Reconciliation is an important journey; and as a collective, ATEA will continue to advocate and assist our teachers and schools in the pathway towards reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
